A Wondrous Gift
Indeed, Christmas is about the "Wondrous Gift" given to us by the birth of Jesus Christ. I've seen this set, by SU!, used in beautiful ways. I decided to use non-traditional colors of purple and silver to make this card. Again, I used the Prismacolor Shimmery Cardstock for my purple card base and coordinated it with SU! inks: Orchid Opulence, Basic Black and Silver Metallic. The SU! ticket punch was used on the corners of the layers and the retired metallic silver ribbon was added to the left border of the card. It was a quick and elegant card, due to the use of shimmery cardstocks.

My mom always put nuts and an Orange in my stocking. She still does it and I love that. Chocolate is nice but I never realized how much I loved knowing there would be a mixture of untracked nuts and an Orange in my stocking come Christmas morning until I went a few years with out it and was like... you know I really looked forward to that. =O)

My favorite tradition is opening one present on Christmas Eve!! That was sooo much fun when I was a child!

We have a large family and our tradition has been for the kids and grandkids to come to our house (Nana & Papa) to open their presents and have a big Christmas dinner together (after they have Christmas at their own homes in the morning). I always make a homemade stuffing and sweet potato casserole to go with the turkey and ham. The others bring dishes also. I always insist on a family picture before everyone starts going home.
