A wedding gift...

It's the season of weddings and I'm back at my craft table making gifts. These are gifts for office co-workers, who have children getting married. Sometimes, I want to share in the joy with a little gift for the children of my co-workers. For this couple, I made simple, elegant monogrammed note cards using Basic Black and Whisper White colors. The SU! Manhattan Floral Embossing Folder added a perfect background for this card. I used the SU! stamp set, Frames with a Flourish, to make the monogrammed border and like the way it coordinated with the elegant, floral theme. The monogram stamp set is called Collage Squares by Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby. After adhering the stamped focal image onto a scalloped black border, I placed it over ribbon from my stash. The final design was placed on a black card front. When using black for my cards, I adhere a white insert inside the card to make writing sentiments easier.
For my packaging, I placed all of the cards and envelopes in a clear card box. I made a much smaller gift card with black cardstock, embossed with the same Manhattan floral image. I simply embellished it with an white oval stamped with a sentiment placed on the card front. After slipping this on top of the box, I added more ribbon and my gift was ready for the new couple.

Happy July 4th!
