BLOG CANDY!

It's time for some BLOG CANDY! One lucky reader will receive this new Ellison Thick Cut Die, Flower Layers #1. I know it can be used with the Big Shotz, but do not know about the compatibility with other die cut machines. Heck, if it doesn't fit your machine, take it to a friends house or your local scrapbooking store and make multiple cuts. I ordered one for myself and can see lots of great uses for this die.

To be eligible for a chance to win this candy, leave me a comment about your most favorite and least favorite retiring Stampin' Up! stamp sets. If you have already left me a comment, you will be included in the drawing. I've enjoyed hearing the feedback from everyone and appreciate the nice comments regarding my son's college graduation. To keep this drawing fair, please only leave one comment. Spread the word to your friends and I'll be drawing on Saturday evening. Let the comments begin!

The retiring stamp set that I will miss the most is probably French Script. I realy like that one and use it a lot. I have it so at least I don't have to worry about that. The one I don't have that I need to get is Favorite Teddy Bear. And what will I miss the least? I guess of the sets I own that I am not too sad to see go would probable be snowflakes just because I have a lot of Christmas and winter stamps and I got a lot of use out of this set already.

Love the Ellison Flower die. I have been debating between the Ellison & CB as I heard that the Ellison is better/easier to use when you have shoulder problems. I'm still not sure especially when you can get the CB with a M's discount but not the Ellison.
The retiring stamp set that I will miss the most is French Script & since the budget hasn't allowed me to purchase it yet, now I HAVE to get it regardless. The set I won't miss is Knobbly Gnomes, this one creeps me out.

I'm so sad to see Roses in Winter leaving and whimsical alphabet.. The rest I don't care too much about.. LOL

Least favorite- I personally never cared for Super Squirrel. And will not miss Nice and Easy Notes. Favorite set would have to be In Full Bloom. I like everything I've ever made with it. And I think Roses in Winter is leaving prematurely, but I'm excited to see the replacements!

Hi Leslie! I will definitely miss bold butterfly. I think it's a great set. I'm not sad to see All Mixed Up go, I will admit it creeps me out a little.

Where did you find these? I have a Big Shot and can't find the Thick Cuts anywhere.......

I am so sad to see Roses in Winter retire as it is such an easy set to use and looks terrific no matter what you do to it. My least favorite would probably be computer quips as I just never saw the need for it. Thanks for this die--would be fun to use.

I wish In Full Bloom wasn't retiring but I won't miss Nice & Easy Notes, it's just too folksy-cutesy!

I will miss Best of Cluck and the Jumbo wheel Stars and Swirls - i think that is the name. I won't miss Favorite Teddy Bear - time for it to go!

I am sad to see Snowflakes go. I love that set. Of course I will keep it around. The one I am glad to see go, if you can be glad to see any set go, is Best of Cluck. It is so dorky. Thanks for the blog candy and for sharing.

Best wishes to the graduate!
I will most miss Petal Prints & Watercolor Garden. It doesn't bother me that they are doing away with the Gnomes. My sister (who LOVES garden gnomes) didn't even care for the looks of these.

Sincerely, Janet Allen

I'll miss Ruff Play, but to be honest with you, I really haven't gone thru my book marking out all the retired sets yet as I work 40 hours, have 2 children with homework everynight, 2 dogs, 1 of which is expecting puppies anyday now and of course a dh!
So, I can't say which set(s) that I'm glad to see go. It seems like the year is never enough time to buy all the sets on my wish list so I really don't want any of them to retire, KWIM?

The one I will miss the most is Pocket fun, I made a lot of fun stuff with that set. I just realized I haven't posted any on my blog with it though. And the one I'm so glad to see leave is Sketch It! I was sure it would be gone last year and was surprised to see it stay.

Never liked that pocket one and love the chicken cluck.

I will miss Watercolor Garden. I have used it for so many different projects. The least set missed will be Nice and Easy Notes. I have had it forever!

I'll miss French Script and Roses in Winter, but I won't miss Knobbly Gnomes. That set was definitely creepy. Can't wait to see all the new sets!

My favorite set might be French Script...it's so classic! Least favorite...perhaps two...watercolor minis and around & about. I have both and never got into them.

Thanks for the chance at the fun die! I'm be missing Petal Prints the most. I agree about the comments on the gnomes being creepy. My sister collects garden gnomes & I called her immediately to let her know about these when they first came out. She took one look at them and said, "YUUK - these aren't cute, they are creepy!" Needless to say, neither of us bought that set:)

Hi Leslie...I will miss Roses in Winter the most (as well as most everyone else!) It was just one of those sets that I think was hard to make a bad card with! lol! I definitely will not miss Nice & Easy Notes...I don't think I sold a single set in the entire 5 years I've been a demo! That set REALLY needed updated.

I'm SO hoping to win the Ellison Flower die! Woohoo1

i'll miss french script the most... i don't have a least favorite... probable the one with the real-life looking mountain animals... :)

I will "miss" Roses in Winter the most. However I am not a demo, so it will be staying in my collection. To me it is a classic and should stay longer. I don't see why they are STILL keeping Frosty-that one NEEDS to go! IMHO Ü

There are several I am not sad to see go, so to pick one would be Cruisin' Christmas. That one is just too weird for me. (kinda like the gnomes Ü)

geez, I am going to miss a LOT of them! Mainly Roses in Winter, Mixed Bouquet & Petal Prints! Not going to miss the All Year Cheers (we've needed more for a long time now) or Fresh Flowers (never liked it but I got it in my kit)

I'm going to miss Best of Cluck, I don't ever remember a set quite as fun as this one. I can't remember the names of the word sentiment stamp sets, but those are the ones that I'll not going to miss.

Anonymous said...

my favorite retiring set is mixed bouquet. that one will stay at my home, though. i am glad to see the all year cheer sets going. i've demoed for 3 years and kept putting off those sets thinking "they'll retire anyday, now!" well-finally! they're okay sets, just too pricey and i'd only use a handful of the sayings!

I am sad to see Best of Cluck leaving. I just bought it and I'm glad. I know this sounds terrible but I really mind that most were going. I wasn't attached.

Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for the cool blog candy. I'd love that big die!

Best wishes to your graduate! My oldest of 6 is graduating from High School this year :(

Happy Mother's Day!

I will miss Petal Prints. So glad that Nice & Easy Notes is leaving. It has so needed to be updated.
