Congrats to Cheryl!

I'm late in posting this card and sending my congratulation to my dear friend Cheryl. She recently graduated from the University of Georgia with a Masters Degree in Education. I was able to attend the event and celebrate with her family afterwards. Cheryl is one of those friends that can tell me the brutal truth and get away with it. It may not be something I want to hear, but I need to hear. And, I am blessed and thankful for her friendship. She decided about 4 years ago to attend college and work till she completed her Masters degree. (Keep in mind we are both heading towards the big 50) When she has a plan, she can stay focused and there is no stopping her. She completed all of this while working her job, raising a teenager, being a step mom to 3 grown children, having 2 shoulder surgeries and being newly married. (I think she had a few weddings to plan and a grandchild born during this time, too) Of course, her husband is a wonderful man and was very supportive of her decision. So, Cheryl, hats off to you! I am very proud of your accomplishments.

The card was made using a SU! Hostess set, Event Full. I am enjoying the stamp set since playing with it. I used SEI patterned paper for my background and stamped my image on an oval made with watercolor paper. I have found the watercolor paper to be the best when coloring with SU! markers, as the lines do not show. I layered the image on a scalloped oval and secured it over a piece of stashed polka-dot ribbon. My Sakura Glitter Pen and Brenda Walton rhinestones on the cap and corners added bling to my card. The SU! Ticket Corner Punch was the last part of embellishing this card.

Congrats again to my dear friend, Cheryl!
