I'm back with BLOG CANDY!

Do you remember over 6 months ago when I posted my move would take a month? Well, I was definitely wrong. It's been a busy 6 months, but I am back to Blogland. What have I been doing? I moved into my new home and downsized 1/3 of my living space. Returning to my career as a Registered Nurse was the hardest transition, after being out of the field for 8 years. But, I am loving my job at a local hospital, working the 3-11 shift. After my move, I was treated to a Bahama cruise by my best friend, Cheryl, and her husband, Chris. I've started dating again, which has been an interesting experience. And, in the midst of it, I still found time to stamp and scrapbook.

I want to offer BLOG CANDY as a 'thank you" to those that have patiently waited for my return and sent e-mails with good wishes. To be entered into the drawing, which will take place on August 28th, please leave a comment telling me what project you are currently working on. If you add a comment on your blog about my return, I'll enter your name 5 extra times in the drawing. I'll be posting a picture of the candy at a later date.

Thanks and have an awesome day!
Leslie

Hi Leslie, Congrats on returning to the work force. I have been out of nursing for 11 years and there is no way I would be able to go back. I would be much too frightened. I am very, very proud of you. And then to enter the dating game again--well, you certainly are one brave lady!!! As for a project--right now, my project is ME--I am recuperating from back surgery and anticipating another one on the other side. So, no crafting for me. Darn. Good luck and glad you are back.

Oh Leslie,
I know how stressful it can be moving. I am recently return from my family vacation and I have encountered all kinds of things stopping me from getting back in the groove. Currently I am working on my baby shower invitation and some cards for scrap addict blog. Anywhoo I have posted a link for you on my blog welcome back

welcome back! how brave to return to nursing after 8 years. i'm a bit envious you knew what you wanted to do. next year i will be returning to the work force after 9 years and i have no idea what i want to do! unlike you, you smart cookie, i don't have an actual career path i can return to. i'm thinking something along the artesinal cheese making line ;) right now, however, i'm working on a mini book of our summer vacation. it's not as easy as it may sound, i'm having such issues with getting the pictures printed! can't wait to see your creations soon :)

Congrats on returning to the work force. It's hard but it doesn't take long to get back into the routine. Soon it will feel like you never left!

Glad you're back... You were missed by all.. I've also returned to work after 5 yrs of retirement & I have to say it is hard. The hardest part is adjusting to working, keeping house and all the pets - all in the same day.

My project - waiting 'patiently' for my 1st great grandson to be born any day now. My poor GD looks as if she's going to pop..
Happy to have you back,

Hi Leslie and welcome back! So you are now in Georgia territory! My mother in law lives there as well! I actually live in Douglasville, GA. I am not quite the DAWG fan, more of a Tennessee fan, which by the way they will be playing there in Athens this year, but tickets are so EXPENSIVE! WOW, I couldn't believe it when I looked them up. Anyway, I am currently working on some team ornaments for GA and GA Tech for the big game coming up at the end of November. I am going to be down that way trying to sell them! Glad to see you are back, you were missed. And I will definately get a post out on my blog about your return. Again welcome back and good luck with the dating seen, that is so exciting!

My sisters & I celebrated our mom's 80th b-day this week & have lots of photos to make her a scrapbook, so that will be keeping me busy for the next few months.

Welcome back to blog land -one of my favorite places...I know what you mean about moving...I upsized to a bigger house and could not believe what I owned...I am not packing this stuff (craft supplies excluded) for anything....we are creatures of hording...welcome back to stamping and best wishes on the dating scene and be careful. I am planning to begin a scrapbook for my nephew since his mother does not stamp or scrap and he has "hinted" that he would really like to have "one of those books".

I have just looked thru you blog and you have made some truly wonderful cards, I will definitely be back for another visit!

My husband is in Afghanistan atthe moment with the Royal Air Force on an operational tour, so our (my 4 daughters and I) 'project' has been to make lots of cards for him to go in his care packages we send, letting him know we love him and think of him always.

I would like to add a link on my blog roll called 'Fav Blog stops' if thats ok as well as the candy link?
'Welcome back to Blogland'!!

Take care and really look forward to visiting again soon!

Hi Leslie!
I'm glad you're back!

I don't have a blog, but you have always been on my subscription list, so I was delighted to see a new post from you :)

A project I am working on is a recipe page, for my SU monthly swap. My stamp club has compiled a recipe book of our favorites. This month, we are swapping recipes for a fall vegetable.

Thanks!

Hi! I am an RN too but at the start of my career (grad. in 2004) That is so brave of you to return!! It is great for us new ones to have such great mentors around! Hope the transition to work is great! Thanks for the blog candy offering. I am currently working on my son's scrapbook. It is a challenge because I got more into card making and left the scrapbooking in the last few years. But it is rewarding! and it will hopefully be a great keepsake for my son!

Hi Leslie - welcome back and congrats on stepping out into the world of nursing again! I am working to catch up on the last year of my family scrapbooks. There are a few holes here and there that I am trying to patch up as quickly as possible. I've also been bitten by the card challenge bug...it's tons of fun!!

Great candy, too. Thanks for offering it :)
