Lydia Project

One of the requirements at my current job is to volunteer with service projects outside of the hospital. I don’t have to use my nursing skills to meet this requirement and enjoy making cards for charitable causes. Splitcoaststampers is requesting cards for the Lydia Project, women who are recovering from cancer treatments. I knew this was a project close to my heart and wanted to make cards for this cause. The card requirements were very simple; an uplifting, non-bulky card. I was challenged with the non-bulky requirement and decided to add extra postage to my cards instead of fretting over the weight of my card. This card was made using all SU! projects and Red Riding Hood inks and cardstock. The stamp sets, Beautiful Borders and 24-7, were used in designing the cards. I love the versatile designer patterned papers as they are double-sided and easily combined. After cutting a large circle and scallop mat in half, I placed it on the right side of the card. The border was enhanced with Stickles glitter. Keeping it simple, I added a sentiment that could be used for multiple occasions. If you want to participate in this cause, visit this link.

Thanks-
Leslie
