One stamp, 3 creations

So, I've been MIA in blog land, but have been busy at the craft table. I promise to make it up to you this week by showing you 3 cards designed with one stamp. About once a month, I try to get together with 2 friends, Cindy and Sue, to share our new supplies and make cards. I had to miss our February play date, but Sue was kind enough to stamp the images and punch out the flower details for me. She even provided some of other supplies to complete the cards. She stamped 3 of the images on different shapes created with the Spellbinders dies and added the coordinating scalloped mat for me to use. (I have wonderful friends!) So, it was fun to take the supplies and design 3 different cards with them. The plant pot was paper pieced using different colored cardstock. The leaves were colored with markers, cut and adhered over the main image for extra dimension. The floral pieces were curled by poking a stylus in the center of each piece. Then they were adhered over the focal image using glue. I wanted my floral pieces to really "pop" and added Crystal Effects to them. (This also covered up the areas that the glue was showing.)

The background was made with 2 different Cuttlebug embossed folders and one was layered on a mat made with the SU! scalloped border punch. I adhered a piece of coordinating ribbon to it with 2 red brads. A simple sentiment was added and my first creation was completed. Stay tuned for part 2.
