Happy Birthday to SUE!

I’ve been very slack about blogging lately. With Memorial/Mother’s Day and the beautiful NE GA weather, my time has been spent outside. I was able to spend Memorial Day in one of my favorite cities-Savannah, GA. Though it rained, I was still able to attend several art festivals and many quaint shops.

This card was made for Sue’s birthday. I made the card using the Stampin’ Up! Level 3 hostess set, Echoes of Kindness. Sue has been encouraging me to use my Copic Markers, which have been collecting dust in my craft room. I’ve spent much time reading about the proper use of them, hoping confidence would develop along the way. The confidence never developed but I finally decided to go for it and just use them. I now understand why people are addicted to them as they were fun to use. I stamped my main image and sentiment with Brilliance Black Graphite ink and coordinated the Copic marker choices with the SU! retired patterned paper. I added some clear Stickles glitter to the main image and paper pierced around the borders. The sentiment was punched using the SU! oval punches and sentiment. After layering the pieces onto the Bliss Blue card front, I added ribbon found in my stash.

I hope you are enjoying the summer weather too!

P.S. I’m on Facebook now. Come and join the fun!
