Dominoe Picture Frame Tutorial
Please forgive me for being slack about posting this week. Due to personal reasons, I am currently moving out of my home and temporarily staying with my parents. Our house sold in less than 3 days and our closing date is May 31st. I have been very busy packing, which is a job that I dislike. The movers will arrive on Tuesday, so I am counting down the days till more free time to stamp!
So, I decided to share a tutorial for you that makes great and unique Dominoe Picture Frames. These are easy to make and wonderful for gifts. So get some holiday projects completed early this year, by making a few of them. If you have any questions about the tutorial, it is best to e-mail me, as I cannot reply to the comments left after your postings. The blog does not include your e-mail address with the comments. I will share the questions with the group, to benefit anyone interested.
The supplies needed for this project are:
1. Picture Frame (one that will allow dominoes to lay flat)
I like to use the unfinished 4 X 6 picture frame, Keepsake Decor that I find at Michael’s
2. Dominoes (number needed will depend on size of frame)
These can usually be found in the toy section at Walmart. One side of the dominoe needs to be blank.
3. Lumiere
4. Paint Brush
5. Stazon ink-Black
6. Sharpie Silver or Gold Paint Pen
7. Aleene’s Tacky Glue or any All-Purpose Glue
8. Chalks and applicator
9. Glitter
10. Krylon Triple Thick Clear Crystal Glaze
1. Apply a light coat of Lumiere to the blank side of the dominoes, using the paintbrush.
Allow to dry. Lumiere works as a barrier between the dominoes and Stazon ink. If you mess up stamping on it, you can wash the Lumiere off and have clean dominoes to reuse. I also use these steps when altering any kind of tile items.
2. Paint 4 sides of the dominoes with a Sharpie pen and allow to dry.
6. Add any additional embellishments to image area. I like to use glitter on various parts of the images.
7. For the final step, remove the glass from the frame and spray with protective sealant or glaze. Be sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions and do this step outside. This frame was made with In Full Bloom © by Stampin' Up!

Beautiful tutorial! Your finished frames are beautiful. I have never heard of using the Luminar paint before. Thank you.
One thing you can do if you are in a hurry is in addition to your other glue use hot glue at the same time. This will hold the dominos on until the glue dries. You can begin stamping immediately that way.
